Local support, grounded in the South West

About

Abby Fry - BA, GradDipEd

I founded Liferaft Learning to provide personalised, high-quality support for adolescents and adults who want to build skills and confidence in their learning.

I’ve seen firsthand the difference that targeted, empathetic support can make. With the right guidance, learners begin to make progress, build confidence, and see what they’re capable of.

My background spans a range of roles and environments, from creative agencies and government-funded not-for-profits to commercial organisations. I’ve moved through those environments from early roles into leadership, giving me a grounded understanding of how people develop confidence, build skills and apply what they learn in real-world settings, and how to support them through that process. Alongside this, my work as a qualified teacher and tutor shapes the way I approach learning — taking a structured, practical approach, building skills step by step, reinforcing understanding, and supporting learners to gain confidence as they progress.

Liferaft Learning is grounded in this experience. We support learners from where they are now to where they want to be, whether that’s improving results at school, preparing for further study, or building skills for work and everyday life.

I am based in Yallingup, Western Australia, and offer both in-person and online sessions, working with learners locally in Dunsborough, Busselton and surrounding areas, and across Australia.
